How do I create a title aperture in a pagemount album? There is no specific ‘title’ size in the dropdown list as there used to be in pj retro.

Another post indicates just create a 112 x 120mm aperture which I have done.

However the release notes for the latest beta (1.39 – which I have installed) says “QBY Title apertures now have an information icon by default indicating that it’s a title aperture” which suggests there may be another mechanism now, otherwise how would pj know the aperture is a title?

I can’t find any way of telling pj this is a title.

What am I missing?

Hello,

If you add the aperture to the page (using the 'add' button in the Tools window, Layout tab) you can select the Qby Title size from the Image tab of the Tools window using the drop-down aperture list in the Aperture Details section - it's right at the bottom.

after a bit of experimenting I found I had to select a matted title option in the album setup tab, then the title aperture option appears in the drop down list.

I originaly had 'translucent title page' selected. with that option there is no title aperture in the dropdown list.

i think i may have found a bug in the title aperture function:

if i select the 'QBY_title' from the dropdown list for an aperture on the first layout, it works ok - the size changes and the aperture gets an icon saying its a title.

if i select the 'QBY_title' from the dropdown list for an aperture on any other layout, nothing happens. The aperture size does not change, and the dropdown item selected goes back to the original setting.

I'm assuming this is not deliberate functionality - limiting titles to layout 1 ?

To get round this, is it ok to use the notes function to tell Queeensberry that the aperture is for a title?

Out of interest, what layout do you want to have the title on? Normally, the title aperture would be on layout 1.

If you want to put the title on a layout other than layout 1, the best option is to set the aperture size to 200x112 mm and then add a note mentioning that this aperture is the title aperture.
