Queensberry's 5-step process

You may prefer to use third-party software such as Aperture or Lightroom to review, sort and if necessary delete images, but you can do it all conveniently in Photojunction. You can also use Photojunction  to review images and build collections for albums, print ordering and slideshows. Photojunction interacts seamlessly with Photoshop for image editing.

Step 1: Set up a project

Set up a client and event in Photojunction, then select the relevant image files. Photojunction will ask whether you want to work with the images or get straight to creating an album.

Step 2. Specify the album and any accessories you require

After you specify Queensberry as your album supplier, Photojunction will step you through the available options. Check them out in your swatch book and page sampler if you're unsure:

  1. Album format (size and page type)
  2. Cover material, colour etc
  3. Cover style
  4. Page details (colour etc).
  5. Do you want to include a personalised title?
  6. Do you want retouching and/or artwork on the images?
  7. Do you want our standard packaging, or a carry case or display box?
  8. Do you want any Digital Copies?
  9. Do you want the corrected files returned on DVD?

Step 3. Tell us what you want us to do

  • Design, print and assemble the album, or
  • Print and assemble from your own design, or
  • Partially assemble (you add the prints yourself), or
  • Ship the album unassembled.

If you'd like us to design the album for you, pick the first option and you're pretty much done. All you need to do now is upload the order to us with the necessary images. Skip straight to Step 5.

Step 4. Design the album cover and page layouts

Photojunction comes into its own here, taking care of the all messy details and dimensions so you can focus on the design itself.

With a little experience you’ll find designing and editing your layouts fast and efficient, whether you’re working by yourself or in collaboration with your customers.

Step 5. Prepare and upload your order

Photojunction has a wizard-based process to export your images/layouts for printing and upload your order. First make sure you’ve finalised the design, then:

  • Export the high-res layout files for printing (Photojunction will apply presets to ensure that the files comply with our Lab specifications).
  • Edit the layout files in Photoshop if necessary (this is how you handle anything you can’t do within Photojunction, such as retouching, creative editing, colour correction etc; if you prefer, we can do all this for you).
  • Be careful not to change image sizes, image cropping, image file names or image specifications. If you do, Photojunction may not be able to locate your files, or they may no longer be correctly formatted for your lab or album supplier.
  • Please check your out-put files for problems before going any further. Things to look for include missing images, soft or pixelated images and rotation, scaling or cropping problems.
  • You’re now ready to upload your order, so you need to be online. Depending on the services you’ve asked us to deliver, Photojunction will automatically assemble all the files we require in a “Bundle” (folder) and upload them to our server via FTP.

What happens after you place your order

We’ll email you to acknowledge we've received your order.

When we’ve processed it we’ll send you “confirmation documents”, ie a printout of both your order and your detailed album plan as we have interpreted it for manufacture. Remember this is a totally customised product and we can’t start making it until you answer any questions we may have, tell us that our confirmation documents are correct (ie we’ve interpreted your order correctly) and we receive payment. Almost our all clients pay by credit card. We can hold your details on file if you wish.

Please take care to finalise your order before sending it. Once you’ve confirmed, you cannot change your order, as it will go into production immediately.
